Ilana Appel-Admon biography - English Print E-mail

IIana Appel-Admon (Weingarten), lives in Raanana and creates her works while moving constantly between two cultures, Israel and the United States of America. 

Ilana was born in Haifa, Israel, in 1953.  Art and painting in particular, were part of her life since childhood. 

In 1971 she graduated four years of Architecture and Interior Design at -Wizo College of Art and Design. 

Ilana moved to California, U.S.A, after serving in the Israeli Air-Force.

While involved and active in children's special education, she studied and painted at the -Studio for Fine Arts-, in Hollywood, with Frencezca Lesly.

She graduated with honors, having studied drawing and painting at Los-Angeles College, headed by Professor J. Von Ever. Her works were exhibited in private shows and displayed in private galleries in Beverly-Hills, California.

Ilana was a member of the -Valley Artists Guild- and the -San-Fernando Valley Art Club, in Los-Angeles, California.
 

Upon returning to Israel, in 1996, she continued her studies at the -Avni Institute of Art, 

in Jaffa, Tel Aviv.  There she participated in exhibitions through 1997 and 1998.
 

She is a graduate of the -Studio College of Art Studies-, in Raanana, and exhibited her work at -Yad Lebanim ,  throughout the years 2000 and 2001.
 

In 2003 Ilana had a solo exhibition - Threshold, at the  - Hamigdalor Gallery, in Jaffa.
 

In 2005 she had a solo exhibition - Split Identity, at the - Al Haagam Gallery, in Raanana.

 
In 2006 she participated in exhibition "Bikurim", at Achuzat-Bait gallery, in Raanana
